Parachutes came out on July 10, 2000, and debuted at No. 1 in the UK. It won the 2001 Brit Award for British Album and the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002) won the same Grammy the following year, and the 2004 ceremony brought Record of the Year for “Clocks.”
